A girl. A house. A job. Some pets. And way too much time on her hands.

Writing

I've had four pieces published in the Courier-Post and on the website. Quite a few editors complimented me on my work -- they said I had a natural flair for writing. That gave me quite a swelled head.

The first piece, published in June, 2000, appeared in the seven Gannett New Jersey papers and on the web. It's about how David and I met, and appeared as part of a package on how the Internet has influenced the lives of New Jerseyans. Check out the uber-blonde photo! Heinous secret: I was well on my way to 178 lbs by then...so to make myself look not-so-big online, I skinnied up my headshot in Photoshop. Shameless.

The second piece was published in the Courier-Post paper and on the web, and is about my Price is Right misadventures. Because of this piece, some C-P employees yelled "Come on Down!" to me for months after.

When word leaked out that I was doing CookieCam in 2002, the newsroom twisted my arm into writing a piece for the paper. OK, that's not fair to say. Here's how it happened...

Them: Kim, we think CookieCam's really cool, and we'd like you to write----
Me: OKAY!!!!

The next year, they FORCED me into doing a followup.

Them: Do you want to wri---
Me: YES, PLEASE!! I'M A PUBLICITY WHORE!

Well, since it did get 'published' per se...here's a parody of the song "Hit 'em Upstyle" by Blu Cantrell. My version's about being a mage in Asheron's Call. If you have no knowledge of online roleplaying games, don't click. You'll never understand it, and you'll think I'm a scary person.
