A girl. A house. A job. Some pets. And way too much time on her hands.

Who can work a full day, go food shopping afterward and carry a 22 pound bag of cat food up a flight of steps --- in four inch heels?

I was born in Philly in September of 1972, (do the math) and have lived in Southern New Jersey ever since. In 1999 I've was hired by the Courier-Post (aka South Jersey's BEST newspaper!!) as an Online Content Producer for their website. With the exception of about 2 months out of those four years, I adored my job. On December 12, 2003, I was promoted to Online Manager, a job which simultaneously thrills and terrifies me.

"Thor" (not his real name, naturally...he is a private guy) and I met in a Prodigy Chat room on November 1, 1994. Swear! Less than three years later, we got married on April 5, 1997. Over 7 years ago! He has a job. (again, he's private) Together we have two cats and a dog.

As of May 14, 2004, I am now a homeowner! We left the ugly 4 room apartment and moved into a lovely split level brick-ish home in a nice subdivision near where I grew up. In fact, I'm literally around the corner from my old elementary school. Although I thought I'd be done unpacking in a 2 days, I've realized that there will be boxes around here forever.

2004 Resolutions

  1. Successfully purchase and move into a house. Bwah!
  2. I'd like to finish my years-long weight loss program once and for all. I'd like to be between 130-135 lbs.
  3. I'd like to write at least 2 more pieces for the Courier-Post.
  4. I'd like to learn MySQL and PHP.
How'd I do with the 2003 Resolutions? Not too shabby, but not great either. They were...
  1. Learn PERL. I learned a helluva lot more PERL than I knew at the beginning of the year. I can read it, but it's still hard to write, without the help of books and such.
  2. Lose those last few lbs . Eh. I actually put some back on.
  3. Write up ANY WDW Trip report from the year. Oh, I suck.
  4. Muster enough courage to get a brow wax Done!
  5. Complete a 5K race I never got to that level, but I did walk a 4K event for the American Heart Association
  6. Continue to keep LadyGypsy.net updated. Maybe I'll start a blog page. I NAILED this one! This is the longest I've ever kept a website up and running, and I love the blog to death!
...and I scored a mega-promotion at work, and earned a Rising Star award from 2003. Those were unresolved accomplishments.

cute
My first birthday. I like this picture not so much for how cute I was, but for how much HAIR my mom had!

When I was young we'd go to Wildwood, NJ for a week each summer. One sultry day when I was four or five, I wandered into a little room on the boardwalk and had my picture with the "Sheriff" of Hunt's Pier. Didn't know Mom (who was right outside) would have to pay for it. :)

This was taken on my first day of Brownies. Grade 3.
