Thank you, and goodbye for this year
The tech problems have become a real drag. I'm thinking the problem may be with my router, and I don't have the resources to fix it before Christmas. With only 4 days to go, I just can't fathom having to boot, reboot, reconnect, change ports, and reset 3 or 4 times before I even start the baking process each night. Par for the course in 2006.
So we're calling it for the year. I thank you for the visits and the funny comments and emails.
As for me, I think I'm going to cruise-control my way through the rest of the holidays. Relax, enjoy the little things, mourn the passing of old traditions and get ready for new ones.
I wish you and yours the best this season, and come back for Cookiecam 2007!

Up and running again, which merits a big YAY! Tonight's gingerbread recipe is coming from the last post on Leslie's Advent site. If I get to the chocolate pinwheels, that'll be from Alton Brown. :)

First the modem took the night off. Then my laptop decided to walk on the wild side and not cooperate with me. I think I have both issues licked, so it's back to the kitchen with me.
And I'm hella behind. Good thing I watched Alton Brown's Good Eats Cookie Episode. I'm reinspired. Think MAYBE I can get gingerbread done tonight? Sheesh.

Day 3 - Gingerbread and ... laundry?
Because Target rocks, I was able to pick up ginger without having to back to the grocery store. Happy me! So tonight I'll be doing gingerbread and some laundry*. So if you don't see me for a spell, I'm wrestling with my hamper in the laundry room downstairs.
*Sorry...I'm out of clean towels and clean panties. One of those things I can skip tomorrow morning. The other I won't. I'll let you guess which is which. ;)

- Hi. I'm Kim. I started CookieCam back in 2002 as a self-indulgent experiment. I baked cookies anyway, so why not turn the webcam on myself? I did just that. Oddly enough, people watched. When it's on, the webcam's picture refreshes every 30 seconds. I bake lots of cookies. Are they the best? Nah. But they're pretty darn good. I do not strip or bake naked. Once I get off of my butt, this'll be my 5th year, and my 3rd location.
This year, the header image is from Vikki Hansen and downloaded via Stock.XCHNG. The font in the header is called Frosty. The favorite icon was free from N.Design studios. I'm once again powered by Blogger, because I'm too lazy to switch this little project to WordPress, which is how my real website is powered.
My internet connection isn't the best this year and I'm running the webcam off of a laptop with wireless access so if things look wiggy, refresh the page. :)
