Blogging about my blog, I guess.

I’ve moved!

Hello, lovely readers.

After 14+ years at this domain and hosting service, I’ve decided to pack my bytes into boxes and move my memories to kimberussell.com.

ladygypsy is a pseudonym that will forever be close to my heart, but times change and ‘gypsy’ is widely regarded as an ethnic slur. And that’s NOT what I want to put out there. In a few weeks, I’ll be shutting this site down for good and redirecting everything to the new site, which still has that new-electronics smell. (I love the smell of brand new tech.)

Come join me! It’ll be fun.

Webkeeping

It’s a lazy Saturday on Literary Lane, so I’m going to spend it troubleshooting

. Time for stream of consciousness post!

Things that are causing problems – and these are all on the backend:

  • HTTP errors when uploading photos that are under 2MB – AGAIN
  • >> it’s not the php.ini file OR the captcha that LunarPages installed.

  • A WordPress error file that’s going batshit crazy
  • SERIOUSLY crazy. This is written every time I access the site:

[04-Feb-2017 09:40:09 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: Module ‘suhosin’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[04-Feb-2017 09:40:09 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: Module ‘PDO’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[04-Feb-2017 09:40:09 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: Module ‘pdo_sqlite’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[04-Feb-2017 09:40:09 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: Module ‘imagick’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[04-Feb-2017 09:40:09 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: Module ‘pdo_mysql’ already loaded in Unknown on line

Even with all plugins deactivated. Sweet merciful crap. PHP always just …worked.

  • WordPress post.php hangs. The posts do post, but I never move back to the Dashboard unless I refresh the page.
  • > It’s not the theme.
    >>It COULD be a plugin OR THE gigantic error file.
    >>Reverted back to Canvas theme. Error file is up to 65KB in just an hour. Troubleshooting the PHP issue might fix this.

And I’m sure I’ll find countless other things. To start debugging, I’ve turned off the addons that post to Facebook and Twitter, and switched to a default WordPress theme.

At worst, I may just obliterate this directory and do a fresh install of WordPress. I should just START with that. 🙂

Apologies to RSS peeps. Here we go!

Friday 5 ON FRIDAY: In the Middle

    Happy Friday!

Tomorrow is my amazing nephew’s birthday. He’ll be 2 and I can’t believe how quickly those 2 years have flown.

    ollie

    My welcome home.

He is a giggly, happy little dude and I’m happy to know him.

Today is tax day and let’s not talk about that. Enjoy your refunds.

This week’s Friday 5 subject is In the Middle and it’s already 9:41PM so let’s get moving before I pass out and miss my deadline!

    1. What’s something you’re in the middle of?

I have three biggie data projects going on at work right now that I’m in the middle of. One of them includes lots of data entry, and the other two are big Excel spreadsheets of doom.

    2. What’s in the middle of you?

    The letter “o” of course.

    3. What is your residence in the middle of?

Two houses with very well-manicured front lawns. Our lawn, on the other hand, is in bloom. When we went to see this house last year, the lawn was freshly mowed and concealed the dozens of dandelions and wild violets that dot our lawn. It’s pretty.

    4. What’s a great food that features something in its middle?

Have you ever had a panzarotti? It’s deep-fried dough with pizza sauce and cheese (and other toppings if you want) in the middle. When it’s fried, it puffs up. And when you sink your teeth into this amazing amazing crunchy dough the pizza goo drips out. Have mercy.

Google tells me there are 786 calories in a panzarotti. Have mercy.

    5. What’s the nearest you’ve been to the middle of nowhere?

Years ago when we were in California we drove from San Francisco to Anaheim and there were some pretty deserted areas on the way.

Relatedly, this poppy song got me through some sad times years ago. Video probably not safe for work due to lots of bras and panties.

    Have a lovely weekend!
