Today: raining. Blah, but expected.
Tomorrow: Partly sunny. Okay.
Sunday: Sunny. Great!
Monday: Cloudy. Eh.
Tuesday: Rain. Good. If not the 823 mushrooms that have sprouted around our apartment will surely die.

Saturday. Saturday…what’s that? No. Can’t be..

Dandelions! Yes…HAS to be dandelions.

Crapslush

It’s what I call those winter storms where you have a layer of ice on top of a layer of slush on the ground. It’s that type of winter storm that forces you to crack open your car before going to work.

Want to go to work? You'll have to work for it.

Which is what greeted me today.

It’s not horrible, but it’s not summer.

Dear weather.com,

I checked you tonight to see about the newest stupid winter crapslush storm that’s headed our way and what do you do to me? THIS.

This is NOT nice!

Firstly, as all of the Disney snobs will say, it’s “Walt Disney World.” The one in California is Disneyland. Florida is Walt Disney World. Get it straight.

Secondly, what a douchebaggy thing to do! You know I yearn for warm weather and palm trees and I haven’t been to my MousekeMecca lately. And you just rub that in my face by suggesting I check the weather there? (75 and partly sunny tomorrow) instead of the weather here? (42 with rain/freezing rain/wind)

You stink.

I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but we’ve been hit with quite a bit of snow over the last week. The last storm that hit was over the past weekend, and it was lovely being snowed in without having to worry about work!

This is a park bench.

This is a dog who likes snow. The other dog does not like snow so he is back in the apartment while we play.

It's cold and wet, but gorgeous.

The roads were plowed well AND in a timely fashion — our South Jersey towns got bashed soundly after the December storm for rotten road conditions. The sun was shining, and the snow started to melt. Ah. A little snow is good for the soul, yes?

Yes. But another blizzard three days later is not so fun. This is the scene out my window now:

Ugh.

The warnings on this one are so dire (life-threatening! pack a survival kit if you drive!) that the Courier-Post actually let us out at 12-noon today. They’ve never done that in the 10 years I’ve been there!

I have to go to work tomorrow or else I won’t get paid, but I’m completely enjoying my paid snow day today!
