Collingswood MayFair

31 May

We went to the Collingswood Mayfair on Saturday and had a great time!

Two 1972 classics in ONE photo!

One of the businesses created a Stanley Cup out of aluminium foil as a show of support for the Flyers. And although I’m a Devils fan, I want the Flyers to win the Cup because that’ll be another Philadelphia team to win their sport’s championship before the Eagles do. And I hate the Eagles.

There were even nationally known celebrities there!

And the Courier-Post had a booth, too. I couldn’t NOT be a ham. You’ll forgive me, right? (subscribe, subscribe, subscribe, save my job, save my job…)

My kicky hat is from Eugenia Kim’s Target line.

Collingswood Mayfair

26 May

We had a blast at Mayfair on Saturday. We listened to the live bands, meandered around the craft booths (seriously, have you seen what people sell in these things? Do the blown-glass people get upset when the moms who sell beach pails with kids’ names written on them with Sharpies outsell them 5-1?) and had some food. Kettle Korn, soda, and a pulled pork sandwich from the Tortilla Press. Oh my gosh…yum.

I think it spread farther down Haddon Avenue this year than last year. We also had a blast looking at the Classic Cars on display. I miss when the Courier-Post used to have their yearly car show. Anyway, my only wish for Mayfair is that it lasted past 5:00pm. If they pushed it until 8:00, people might hop into one of the restaurants for dinner.

If you want to see more pictures, I have a Collingswood Mayfair set on Flickr.

Off to Mayfair!

24 May

I was supposed to start this day with bloodwork (routine, all is well) but I lost the prescription so….had to reschedule.

Today is Collingswood’s Mayfair! WM and I are off to breakfast first and then we’ll be taking in the sights and sounds on the main strip.

I’m on the fence as to whether to stick to the “Healthy Eating Plan” as today will be filled with Kettle Korn and water ice and soft pretzels. I’m thinking the “Healthy Eating Plan” is going to take the day off. I’ll just had 5 perfectly on-target days (seriously, I did not eat at ANY retirement party yesterday) and get back on the horse tomorrow, so to speak.

Enjoy your Saturday!
