Tomorrow, WoTLK remix
The Lich King comes out
Tomorrow!
Time to spend my dollars
’cause tomorrow,
the wait is done!
I’ll be at GameStop
tomorrow
picking up my copy
with some sorrow
because I have to come straight back to work and toil until 5:30pm oh why did I take a day off for the Phillies parade because I know by the time I get home the servers will be clogged and I won’t see anything ’til at least Friday and all my unemployed guildmates will be 80 by then?
Sorry, where was I? Oh yes…ahem
I’ve been toiling away
each day
with dailies!
Whining for something new!
“QQ!â€
They’d say!!
Oh!!
The Lich King comes out
Tomorrow
So we gotta hang on
‘Til tomorrow
Then we’ll play!!!!!
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
New Gaming! Tomorrow!
We’re only
A day
A way!

NaBlaBlaMo updates
NaBloPoMo is going swimmingly. Ten posts in ten days so far. I’m not worried at all about reaching that goal. I have almost six years of blogging behind me.
NaNoWriMo on the other hand has been a lot harder. I have no idea how I did this years ago. Things were looking pretty grim for me at the beginning of the weekend. I had let five whole days go by without adding one word to my story. I was facing the necessity of writing 10K words in one weekend to catch up. I was considering quitting because I was too far behind.
Then I took a breath and broke out the calculator.
To reach 50K in 30 days, you should write 1667 words a day. I’m aiming for an average of 2200 a day, which will still get me to 50K with time to spare.
The “novel” (if you can really call this that) is about a group of people who play an online game and meet in person. It is not autobiographical. I’m having fun developing the various dork characters.
And I’m on the fence about CookieCam. This place is so teeny…
I see two possible scenarios:
1) If I don’t lose my job the first week of December CookieCam will be a limited-night engagement and probably streamed live. I’m looking at picking up a freelance job for about 5 or so hours a week, and I also have an application in for holiday work at my local Disney store*. Time is going to be limited.
2) If I do get laid off (nobody is safe) then I’ll have time to do CookieCam during the day while I’m being paid severance and looking for another job. I’d probably get a bigger audience that way!
*Trying to squirrel away money while I can in anticipation of future layoffs.

Give us this day our daily bread
About five or six years ago, I decided I wanted a breadmaker. But I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on it because everybody I knew who ever owned a breadmaker used it once or twice before it was put away forever. So I purchased one from a yard sale for $10. The original owner only used it once.
I have no idea why because to me it’s the easiest thing in the world to measure ingredients into the bread pan, push a few buttons and walk away. Three hours later, fresh bread! With real ingredients and no high-fructose glop, MSG, or lead.
That old breadmaker met its maker (ha!) this spring. So I spent some of my bread on a new one.
For some “Little House on the Prairie” reason, I do the bread machine does my baking on Sundays. It just seems like a nice way to start the week. I’ve baked white bread, wheat bread, Easter Bread, pumpkin bread and now…

Cinnamon bread! This is the second loaf I’ve done using this recipe and it smells and tastes like a dream. I toast a slice of it for breakfast every morning.
So next time you see a barely used bread maker at a yard sale, snag it!

Can I have ketchup with my crow, please?
From September 18:
I’m using the Wordpress iPhone app to blog this from the comfort of my own bed. It was a breeze to set up. Note: if you have a linksys wireless router, take the time to change the default password. Otherwise, you’re enabling lazy people like me to blog from the comfort of their own beds
From September 26:
Somebody here in my building never changed their default wireless router settings. So the network name is linksys and the password is admin. So I use their wireless connection from time to time.
Ya wanna know whose router that was? C’mon…you know the answer!
Ours.
I didn’t think we had the wireless portion of the router activated.
Wrong!
This is why I keep a blog. It makes for great history.
