New Year, new…weight?
7 Jan
I’m wearing myself out with the New Year, new….(thing) theme.
So the brother’s getting married in August, and I’m determined not to be immortalized in photos in the shape I am now. Which is soft and fluffy.
I have 40 lbs that I’d like to lose before the end of July, which is when I imagine will be the last fitting of my bridescougar gown. Now that SOUNDS like a crazy goal, but at 2 lbs a week it’s pretty doable.
Last night I bought a new scale (the other one broke, most likely after the loooong drop down the trash chute) and this morning I joined Weight Watchers. I’m doing it the online way because I don’t do well with the meetings. They make me hungry.
Today I weigh 180.4 pounds. This shocks people, because the reaction I get is “You don’t LOOK 180.4 lbs.”
Well, of course I don’t. Here’s what 180 pounds looks like:
…and I don’t look like that. When people say I don’t look like 180 lbs, I just tell them I have a very large spleen that carries the weight.
Anyway, here’s to a new beginning.

Good luck with the weight watchers. That is great you can join online. I didn’t like the meetings either.
