Friday Five: Chit Chat
Posted March 19th, 2010 by Kimberly DowdIt’s funny – now I seem to write more when I’m working rather than when I’m off.
Anyhoo, it’s the Friday Five! Today’s topic is Chit Chat. Okay, this is cute…
1. “Come here often?”
Not often enough, if I can regularly find people like you here. (wink)
2. “What’s new?”
I bought an Oreck, thanks to a good price and easy monthly payment plan on QVC. Ah, QVC…you are the bane of my existence. While it’s not a Dyson I’m sure it’ll suck a lot better than the cheap upright I bought. Suck in a good way.
3. “[insert your recent weather condition here] enough for ya?”
Not in the least! It was 72 today and is going to be 74 tomorrow! Just in time to break out all the springy skirts I have put in storage. Which would be none, since I stupidly donated all my smaller sized stuff. I may need to hit up some thrift shops to tide me over.
4. “How’s it hangin?”
(looks down) To the left, apparently. Those are some tight jeans you have on there.
5. “How ’bout them [insert local sports team here]?”
Well, I don’t follow the Eagles at all, since I don’t like football and especially since the acquisition of Michael Vick. I don’t even buy food products that have Eagles licensing on it anymore. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a Tastykake. Mmmm…Tastykakes.
**
Last day of furlough. The week turned out SO much better than it started. Yes, there were a few sacks of money handed over for car repairs and I’ve achieved NOT ONE goal I set for the week but in the end I’m sitting here on the sofa with the sun beating on me through the window and a cocker spaniel at my feet.
Tonight I’ll probably drag out my beads and try to get some creativity flowing. I will also have a nice cold Guinness (2 points).
Happy Friday!

I love reading your Friday Fives – I always get a chuckle, or at the very least, a wry smile.
And I would love to see what you create! I’ll show you mine if you show me yours… We drove through Quartzite, AZ, and I picked up a few things. Nothing super terrific in beads, but I got a new book and a pair of bail-making pliers. Since I’ve never used bail-making pliers before, I’m excited to play.
