Creature Comforts

12 Jul

I think they know I'm sad.

It’s been a few days, and I’m still so very sad. I see Misty in the corner of my eye. I expect to see her sacked out on the corner of my bed. It’s weird feeding just one cat. I haven’t had just one cat since 1995. Last week I took today and Tuesday off on a whim, really. I had no idea what was coming, but I’m really glad I did. With the exception of a meeting today at 9:30 I promised I’d go in for, it’s nice just hanging out and remembering.

I know what you mean….Pat has the same feeling and actually he did see Sherekhan yesterday.
It’s all so hard and we are just taking it one day at a time.
For the first 5 years we only had 2 cats then by chance two more cats adopted us. We had 4 cats! Who has 4 cats? We do! LOL but now we have three and I can’t even imagine having only three. It just doesn’t seem right. Not balanced. It’s hard to describe, but I hope you know what I mean. :)
    One day a time….

Thanks for the kind words. For one amazing(ly stupid) month I had four cats, too. So there’s more than one of us out there.

For now I’ll probably stick with the 2 dogs/1 cat setup until we get a larger place. Charlie (remaining cat) thinks he’s a dog anyway.

They’re in mourning too. I’m glad you took the 2 days for you all to be together and be a comfort.

They’re in mourning too. I’m glad you took time off; you thinking about her is much more important.
