Has it been a week?

Long time, no blog.

There is seriously nothing going on. I’m still sick from 2 weeks ago, so I finally made an appointment to see the doctor later this afternoon. I don’t like going to the doctor. I figure he’s going to:

     a) Tell me I have walking pneumonia
     b) Tell me I’m overweight
     c) Forget I’m divorced and ask how BvP is
     d) All of the above.

So I’m very much looking forward to it. But as my body has failed to kick this bug on its own, I need the help. I’m tired and cranky and just sick of being sick.

I was on furlough Friday and again today. So I’m home and not getting paid for it. I’ll have to deal with all the backlog work tomorrow, since nobody there knows how to do what I do. (Because they laid off the only other person who knew what to do.) It’s 1:30 and I’m already dreading my email box.

It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve bitten 9 out of my 10 nails. I lapsed a few days ago without knowing. They are so very short, but longer than usual and it’s driving me mad. The little clicks against the keyboard, the way they attract dirt, the way I keep accidentally scratching myself is all driving me mad. Why am I doing this again?

Good things…there have to be good things…

Oh! I made some jewelry that I’ve been too lazy to take pictures of. And Mom’s birthday was Friday night. I horrifically hacked up my bangs 2 weeks ago and they’re finally growing out. World of Warcraft is good…been playing up my mage and blogging about it. I might stop at CVS on the way home (to drop off the inevitable antibiotic prescription, which will contribute to the creation of a supergerm AND mess up my birth control at the same time) and pick up a pretty polish shade for the nails. And some hair dye. That always makes me feel good.

This blog’ll get better soon, I promise.

Edited to add: He did not tell me I was overweight or that I had walking pneumonia, but did ask how my husband was doing.
