Friday Five: Taboo!

Even when the writer’s block has faded away and I have a crap ton of stuff I want to write about* I’m always happy when the Friday Five shows up.

This week’s FF is Taboo themed. They gave a bunch of words that you’re not supposed to mention when you write your answers. I’ll put those words in italics.

1. Who’s making a positive difference in your life?
Taboo words: friends, family, husband/wife/spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend.

The radiant and beneficial powers of our truly superhuman President Barack Obama have made my life’s cup overflow with hope and ponies.

(blinks innocently)

2. Where would you like to be right now?
Taboo words: home, bed, anywhere but here.

There is a little beach cottage that materializes in my imagination when I’m still. It’s not on any beach I know of here – there is no boardwalk or bustle. This beachfront cottage is small and rustic but with running water, electricity, etc. There’s a little area in town with stores and a killer seafood restaurant, and I ride a bicycle to get there. No noise, no driving…just a quiet beach. I wanna be there.

3. What’s the first thing you’d do with a $5,000 (or your local equivalent) gift?
Taboo words: save, debt, vacation, payments, invest.

There once was a girl who went to Walt Disney World three times in one year the year after she was divorced, ruining not one, not two, but THREE credit cards. $2500 of that would go toward the indiscretions of the past. $300 toward a spa day. The balance would go to INGDirect.com!

4. What super-power would you really like to have?
Taboo words: invisibility, x-ray vision, flying, strength, transform.

The ability to not be seen by human or technological means while still wearing my clothing.

5. What’s your favorite sound?
Taboo words: laughter, music, ocean, wind, ____’s voice.

When Ollie gets excited and happy, he snorts. This cracks me up to no end.

Have a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow, if it’s not pouring rain like it is now, I will be going to my first 4H fair. Which will most likely turn me vegetarian.

*I just kept writing through it. It’s not like I’m being graded on my blog. It’s not like I have sponsors to please. Next bloggy project will probably be a slight redesign for September.
