Hi Kim, Hope you feel better soon and the safe-job fairy keeps hovering around you.

I think that Obama will be a very good president, but only time will tell. It will be nice to have someone in the WH who is bright, articulate and cares about those of us making under $250K ( Yes, I’m not there yet !). Here in NC we had early voting for about 10 days before 11/4 and it was great, very few lines. Here’s an interesting snippet, this is the first time since 1952 that there won’t be either a Dole or Bush in government !…..

I had a rough day yesterday. I voted for the GOP in two races, and the Democrats in two races. My guy won just one of the four races. In the ballot measures, two of my three yes votes lost, and the other is too close to call. Five of the eight I voted against as passing.

Being in CA we’ve been saturated with the pro- and anti-Prop 8 signs and commercials since Day 1. And I’m voting NO on it, which also means Obama will be my choice for President since Palin openly admitted she is against same-sex marriage.

Will I regret either decision later? Only time will tell, but I’m just glad I have the right to partake in my country’s electoral process, the one time when we’re all equal. And that’s what matters most.

I’m home sick today, too. Hope you’re feeling better soon. I’m glad you were able to get out there and vote. After a couple of naps, I finally made it to the polls and cast my vote – for Obama. I am sorry that there are those who cannot respect your opinions. I understand, too. Nearly everyone I know in the supposedly Dem state of mine, is a Republican and a lot of them reallllly want to debate and berate me. We’re all entitled to our opinions, and we should all be respectful of the opinions of others. You’re setting a great example.

Make it two red dots. I too voted for McCain, for most if not all of the reasons you very nicely articulated. I too will be facing bad, bad reaction from people I love and respect. Ah well.
