AAEEIEEI!! Just when I was complaining about being in a slump* my all time favorite boy band that melted my little 16 year old heart is coming back!
Oh my god….I cannot wait to go to that show…standing amongst a bunch of 30-40 year old soccer moms, flinging our arms back and forth together in one big awkward Hangin’ Tough dance.
I’ll admit to having checked NKOTB.com throughout the years, waiting. Every other washed up middle-aged boy band has come back…it was just a matter of time before this one did. The difference is…this one is MY washed up middle-aged boy band! The most depressing line? “The oldest “Kid,” Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year.” On November 29th, to be exact. Yes, I remember. In fact, I think I still have boxes of NKOTB memorabilia in the basement of the house.
I’m going to go find my crimping iron.
*WM: “Listening to music that is 18 years old does not a slump-breaker make.”
Me: “Actually, it’s 20 years old. Now get offa my lawn.”

Oh my.
This is one case where I HOPE that they ARE using recorded backing tracks. The thought of a bunch of grizzled 40 year old voices grunting out those songs… HORRIFYING!!
