Still loving my MSN homepage
Nothing says, “Go take on the day!” better than my MSN homepage, which sports this lovely headline first thing in the morning:

(highlighting mine)
If you read it, 2 of the 3 families profiled live in San Francisco, which we all know is super-expensive. The other lives in Scottsdale, AZ, and it’s a parent worrying that her 29-year-old son won’t be able to afford a house. (Oddly enough, they never ask the son if he even wants a house, but I attribute that to the continued infantilization of the Baby Boomers’ children by the media.) The author relates her own housing/financial troubles, but she lives in New York City, another super-expensive place to be.
It’s depressing…but at least I still own a house in name. Now if only it’d sell.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

I was incredulously watching a woman on “House Hunters” the other day complain about the kitchen in one of the less-than-$300k homes being “too small.”
Homes in my not-so-fancy area go for almost $600k and my kitchen…hell, house is literally half the size of the ones she was looking at. I wanted to slap her silly.
