Review: Breaking Dawn

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
My review
rating: 3 of 5 stars
Well, at least Meyer wrapped up the loose ends. And that we got to meet other, less-neurotic vampires. And Bella finally, FINALLY jumped off of the “I’m not worthy to be with Edward because he’s so DAZZLING and I’m so plain!” train. Of course, it took a huge change in her for that to happen.

You are a generous woman. I was so affronted by this steaming pile of type ink, that I actually paid to send it back to amazon.
You wanted to see Bella as a crazed newborn? I so hated the book I wanted to see her spawn and Jacob fight over her spleen as they tore her to pieces. Then – and only then – might I have been ok with the whole imprinting thing, though that baby name was unforgivable. Edward’s been a lost cause to me since book three; anyone that large a Mary Sue deserves to meet a gruesome ending, but I suppose they were afraid teen readers would start flinging themselves from cafeteria windows or something. I love youth lit, but it’s going to take heavenly intervention before I read another YA novel by Meyer. Someone put a stake in her word processor!!
