Should auld acquaintance be forgot

This year..

• I received my first Rising Star award at work. (Oh, I’m receiving one for 2004 too!)
• We were approved for a mortgage.
• And after 7 years of apartment living, we bought a house!
• …which I almost burned down while making iced tea.
• Travelled to California to meet long-time friends.
• Saw the sun set over the ‘other’ ocean.
• Turned 32, (stupidly) had bangs cut into my hair, and got the long-coveted iPod.
• We went on a fabulous cruise…
• …and I snorkled for the first time.
• Said goodbye to my last living grandparent.
• Voted, and
• Wrote a novel. (I’ll start editing it in January)
